      • Don't skip practice round on the course, since this will help you familiarize yourself with the course layout.
      • Put some pressure by thinking that you need to make the putt to win the tournament.
      • Remain focused to what you can control such as your grip pressure, tempo and your breathing.
      • Focus only on the present shot.
      • Set a positive and realistic expectation.

      Golf is a game and is meant to be fun. It's not a battle for life and death and so there is no point being nervous when playing a tournament. Just remember, the guy standing next to you may also be going through the same emotions as you are.
